Welcome to Travel Banff Canada!

We are Dan and Celine Brewer, the proud owners of Travel Banff Canada, your guide to Banff National Park and the surrounding area. We’ve been exploring these mountains for decades and are excited to be sharing our insider knowledge of the Canadian Rocky Mountains with you through our Banff travel blog.

Dan grew up in Calgary, so he’s been coming to the mountains around Banff for camping, hiking, and skiing his entire life. Celine, a prairie girl, moved to Calgary in 2000 and has been exploring the areas around Banff, Canmore and Kananaskis for over two decades.

Our love and passion for travel and the outdoors has been our focus since we became a couple. In the early days, we spent every weekend driving to Banff and Kananaskis for snowshoeing or hiking. We would often spend our drives to Canmore dreaming of one day living in this charming mountain town. We became Canmore weekenders in 2012, but in 2016, our dream became a reality as we sold our Calgary home and moved to Canmore permanently.

By that time, we had two kids and were fully engrossed in creating our other two family travel blogs: Baby Can Travel and Family Can Travel. Baby Can Travel is all the advice you need for traveling with a baby or toddler. Family Can Travel is where we recount all the incredible outdoor activities we’ve done with our kids around the world.

After blogging since 2014 and always being asked for advice on what to do in Banff National Park, Canmore and Kananaskis, we still hadn’t written anything about our own backyard. We changed that in September 2019, when Travel Banff Canada was created. Here you’ll find everything you need to know about planning a trip to Banff and exploring these majestic mountains.

Our family is very active and we enjoy just about everything you can think of doing in Banff and area: hiking, paddle boarding, mountain biking, snowshoeing, cross country skiing, downhill skiing, skating and more.

Since we have kids, you can rest assured that when we give advice on activities with kids that we’ve done it with our own kids. We’ve been hiking and snowshoeing with them since they were babies.
