Calgary International Airport (YYC) is the closest airport to Banff National Park. As the gateway to Canada’s most visited national park, it should be no surprise that the Calgary International Airport is one of the busiest airports in Canada. Whether you are visiting Calgary on business, have a late arrival or early departure, or are on your way to Banff, there are many great Calgary Airport hotels to choose from.
We are locals who live near Banff, but we frequently use Calgary airport hotels when we go on our own trips from YYC. This post covers our favorite Calgary airport hotels, ranging from the closest hotels to YYC, ones with long-term parking, family-friendly hotels and budget hotels.

I’ll give full descriptions of each of my favorite YYC airport hotels below, but if you are in a hurry, here are my quick picks:
- Calgary Airport Marriott In-Terminal Hotel: Best for in-terminal convenience.
- Delta Hotels Calgary Airport In-Terminal Hotel: Best in-terminal alternative.
- Hilton Garden Inn: Best for families (more space + pool).
- Acclaim Hotel by Clique Calgary Airport: Best for park-and-fly.
- Park Inn by Radisson, Calgary Airport North: Best for suites and extra space.
- Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites – Calgary Airport North: Great all-round choice with parking package potential.
- Wingate by Wyndham Calgary Airport: Best budget value.
The Closest Hotels to Calgary Airport (YYC): In-Terminal
The Calgary Airport has two in-terminal YYC hotels. Not having to leave the airport to get to your hotel is incredibly convenient, especially if you have a late-night arrival or early morning departure.
Calgary Airport Marriott In-Terminal Hotel
If you are looking for the ultimate in convenience, stay at the Calgary Airport Marriott hotel. There’s no airport shuttle to deal with here because this Marriott is inside Calgary International Airport, just steps from the terminal.

From its unique in-terminal location within the Calgary Airport, all rooms at the Marriott feature beautiful views of the airport runway, views of beautiful Calgary or the Canadian Rocky Mountains (an exciting treat if your trip includes going to Banff!)

As you’d expect, you’ll pay for the convenience of an in-terminal hotel at the Calgary Airport, but you’ll enjoy a wide selection of hotel amenities such as a heated indoor pool, a 24-hour fitness centre and a spa.
Delta Hotels Calgary Airport In-Terminal Hotel
If you want an in-terminal YYC hotel that keeps things as simple as possible, the Delta Hotel is one of the most convenient hotels near YYC. It’s an in-terminal hotel connected to the airport by an indoor walkway, so you can get from your room to the terminal without stepping outside. – great if you are arriving in winter!

The Delta YYC hotel is a great pick for an early morning flight, a late-night arrival, or a quick overnight layover when you just want things to be easy. You have a fitness centre on-site, plus a full-service restaurant, and you can grab breakfast there for a fee.
If you’re comparing hotels near Calgary Airport, this one is all about convenience first.
Calgary Airport Hotels With Shuttle Service (What to Expect)
The two YYC in-terminal hotels do not require shuttle service as you can easily walk from your gate to the check-in counter. The remaining 5 hotels on my list of the best Calgary Airport hotels all offer free shuttle service. For full details keep reading as I feature each of these hotels in a sub-category below.
Best Family-Friendly Hotels Near Calgary Airport (Suites + Pools)
Hilton Garden Inn – Calgary Airport
We created this blog about traveling to Banff National Park as we are lucky enough to live there, but we also have a great blog about traveling with kids. As such, we travel through the Calgary Airport with kids frequently, and when we need a family-friendly Calgary Airport hotel, we often stay at the Hilton Garden Inn – Calgary Airport.

What makes the Hilton Garden Inn such a family-friendly Calgary airport hotel? Well, the kids love the indoor swimming pool and hot tub, and the extensive breakfast buffet. But what brings us back to the Hilton Garden Inn is the 1-bedroom King Suite with Whirlpool.

Sharing a standard 2-bed hotel room with kids is not my favorite experience, but having a separate bedroom for the parents helps everyone get a better sleep. Plus, having a jacuzzi in the bedroom is a nice reward for parents who have successfully put their kids to sleep!

The Hilton Garden Inn Calgary Airport is about a 10-minute drive from YYC and runs a free 24-hour airport shuttle.

Best Budget Hotels Near Calgary Airport
Park Inn by Radisson, Calgary Airport North
I recently stayed at this popular Calgary airport hotel for a flight to Toronto. I was very impressed by this all-suites Calgary Airport hotel.
My Queen Studio Suite room was perfectly suited for my stay. I had a great night’s sleep on my soft Queen bed, then enjoyed a filling continental breakfast. This is an all-suites style stay, so it’s a good fit if you want extra space.

While waiting for my flight, I was able to get some work done in my Park Inn hotel room using the large desk with convenient plug-ins for my laptop and various chargers. (so many hotels hide plug-ins behind the bed!). The large desk makes the Park Inn by Radisson an ideal Calgary Airport hotel for business travelers.

Additional hotel amenities at the Park Inn Calgary Airport hotel include a fitness room, a small convenience store, laundry facilities, a BBQ (with an outdoor picnic area) and of course, free Wi-Fi.

Just a short 9 minute drive from the Calgary Airport, the Park Inn by Radisson has a more convenient offering than a typical airport hotel shuttle bus. Guests simply take an approved taxi from the airport to the hotel, and the hotel simply pays the driver. If you don’t like waiting for shuttles, the taxi-style airport transfer can be a faster option. Confirm the current process with the hotel when you book.
The Park Inn Calgary Airport hotel is a pet-friendly hotel. If your journey takes you from the Calgary Airport to Banff, check out these pet-friendly hotels in Banff.
Wingate by Wyndham Calgary Airport
One of the best reviewed Calgary Airport hotels on our list, the Wyndham has everything travelers need for a comfortable stay. For starters, you’ll get even more excited for your trip to Banff with their large 3 panel image of Lake Louise to greet you in the lobby!

The list of amenities at the Wingate by Wyndham Calgary Airport hotel is long. Start your day with a complimentary hot breakfast before enjoying a workout in the fitness centre or a swim in the indoor swimming pool.

In addition to an on-site sundry store and laundry facilities, for coffee lovers (like us), there is coffee available in the lobby 24 hours a day!!

Just 11 minutes away from the terminal, the Wingate by Wyndham Calgary Airport hotel offers a complimentary 24-hour airport shuttle for its guests.
We’ve stayed at the Wingate by Wyndham Calgary Airport hotel the night before early morning flights out of YYC and were very happy with the location and amenities. The rooms are nice and spacious plus the complimentary shuttle and free breakfast are definitely welcome on early mornings!

We’ll definitely return to this YYC airport hotel the next time we have an early morning flight from Calgary.
Best Calgary Airport Hotels With Long-Term Parking (Park-and-Fly)
Acclaim Hotel by Clique Calgary Airport
Recently, the Acclaim Hotel has become our go-to YYC hotel for park-and-fly stays. We keep booking stays here as it has a winning combination of good location, reliable free shuttle service and competitive YYC park and stay packages.

Given we live in the mountains about an hour outside Calgary, we need airport parking when we go on family vacations. We have found that paying for an airport hotel and airport parking separately is not only inconvenient, but more expensive. We like being able to park our car at the Acclaim Hotel for our whole vacation and simply taking their free airport shuttle service to and from the airport.
The Acclaim Hotel near the Calgary Airport offers park-and-stay packages with 7 or 14-days of parking. If you need parking beyond 14-days, you can pay a reasonable additional daily rate. To get the park-and-stay rate at the Acclaim Hotel, you’ll need to book directly with the hotel.

The Acclaim Hotel doesn’t have a ton of extra amenities, but it does have an on-site Italian Restaurant and two rooftop hot tubs.
It’s a solid choice for anyone who wants a simple overnight near the airport, with the convenience of being able to roll in, get a good sleep, and be on your way in the morning.
Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites – Calgary Airport North
No matter where we travel, we always enjoy a stay at the Holiday Inn. With consistently high standards around the world, you won’t go wrong staying at the Holiday Inn near the Calgary Airport.

Business travelers will enjoy the executive workspace included in each room at the Holiday Inn Calgary Airport North. In addition, each room features a mini-kitchenette and 49″ flat screen TV’s.
Families traveling to Calgary with kids will love the large indoor swimming pool, complete with a water slide and hot tub.

If Calgary is your home base and you need extended parking for your vacation, you can arrange long-term parking at competitive rates – simply call the hotel to arrange after making your reservation. We often take advantage of the parking packages offered by Calgary Airport hotels as it is almost always more economical than booking an airport hotel and paying for parking separately.

One of the closest hotels near the Calgary Airport, the Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites is just 8 mins from the airport. Guests will enjoy the convenience of the free airport shuttle (it’s not 24/7 though).
